Description:  The Whitby Water Treatment Plant upgrade project in Durham Region aims to double the plant’s capacity from 109 ML/day to 218 ML/day. This involves constructing a new industrial raw water pumping station, outfall chamber, and an energy center. The project also includes site preparation, demolition works, and significant infrastructure upgrades to support planned growth in Whitby and neighboring municipalities. Advanced treatment technologies will be implemented to enhance water quality and reliability. These upgrades ensure the plant meets future demand and regulatory standards while supporting regional development.

Role:  4Sight’s role is to provide Subsurface Utility Engineering services to manage identify the presence of existing utility infrastructure that will allow for construction of an expansion of the existing plant.
