4Sight use a Time Domain and Frequency Domain Electromagnetic systems to scan investigation areas for changes in ground conductivity. 

4Sight uses the EM-61Mk2A/ EM31-MK2 for any potential buried metallic objects and any subsurface feature associated with changes in ground conductivity in the investigation area. The Geonics EM-61 Mk2A is a high power, high sensitivity metal detector suitable for applications in the detection of both ferrous and non-ferrous metal. Based on the design principles of time domain electromagnetics, the system includes a single transmitter coil and two receiver coils capable of detecting objects at depths up to and more than 2 metres. The EM31- MK2 measures apparent ground conductivity (quad-phase) and magnetic susceptibility (in-phase) using a transmitter and receiver loop. The effective depth of exploration is about 6 metres, making it ideal for geotechnical and environmental site characterization.
