Project: Sewer Mapping – Barrington Residential Development Halifax

Description:  The goal of the investigation was to determine the location of an existing 2080m diameter Sanitary Sewer running approximately 25m below grade under the downtown City Streets in the Cogswell district of Halifax The scope was to collect CCTV footage of the pipe to determine pre-construction condition of the sewer in the critical areas between DS2 and DS3.  At the same time a 3D LIDAR scanner on the robot inside the pipe was used to create a 3D point cloud to model the position of the tunnel.

Role:  4Sight’s role is to provide Subsurface Utility Engineering services to utilize LiDAR and CCTV to map the location of the sewer through the project area where the development will occur.
